1. Acceptance of Terms

By using the Finik app, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

2. Service Description

Finik is a personal finance application for tracking income, expenses, accounts, budgets, and other personal financial records. The app's core functionality operates locally on your device, while certain Apple platform features may rely on iCloud, StoreKit, and system security services.

3. License and Permitted Use

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Finik on compatible Apple devices that you own or control, subject to these Terms and Apple's platform rules.

You may not:

• copy, resell, rent, or sublicense the app;
• reverse-engineer, modify, or attempt to extract the app's source code except where applicable law expressly permits it;
• use the app in violation of law or third-party rights.

4. Subscriptions, Purchases, and Trial Access

Finik may offer Premium features through in-app purchases, including auto-renewable subscriptions and/or one-time purchases, if those options are available in the App Store for your country or region.

• purchase processing, billing, renewals, cancellations, and refunds are handled by Apple;
• you can manage subscriptions in your Apple Account settings;
• App Store and Apple terms apply to those purchases in addition to these Terms;
• if the app displays local trial or introductory access, its conditions are defined by the current app version and may change in future updates.

5. Your Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• the accuracy of the data you enter into the app;
• maintaining backups if you need them;
• protecting your devices, Apple Account, passcodes, and exported files.

We recommend using export regularly and reviewing your iCloud Sync settings carefully.

6. Financial Information and AI Recommendations

Finik provides tools for financial tracking and analysis. The app is not financial, investment, tax, or legal advice.

Any forecasts, tips, or AI-generated recommendations are informational only and do not replace professional advice.

7. Availability and Third-Party Platform Services

We aim to keep the app available, but we do not guarantee that it will always operate without errors, interruptions, or compatibility limitations.

Some features may depend on Apple services, such as:

• iCloud / CloudKit for sync;
• StoreKit / the App Store for purchases and restores;
• LocalAuthentication for biometric protection.

If those services are unavailable, related app features may also be unavailable temporarily.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The app is provided "as is" and "as available" to the maximum extent permitted by law. We make no express or implied warranties regarding uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or fitness for your particular purpose.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for:

• data loss caused by user actions, device failure, operating system issues, or third-party platform service problems;
• financial, investment, tax, or other decisions made based on app data or recommendations;
• indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of the use of, or inability to use, the app.

Nothing in these Terms limits consumer rights that cannot be limited under applicable law.

10. Intellectual Property

All rights in the Finik app, including software, design, text, graphics, and trademarks, belong to the app's rights holder or are used lawfully.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms. For material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date. The current version is available at https://finik.app/terms.
