1. Overview
Finik ("the app", "we") is a personal finance application for Apple devices. This Privacy Policy explains what data the app uses, where that data is stored, and what controls you have over it.
2. Data the App Processes
Finik does not collect or receive your financial data on our own servers.
Depending on the features you use, the app may process:
- financial records you enter yourself, such as accounts, transactions, categories, budgets, and related data;
- app settings, including privacy, notification, and sync preferences;
- local technical data needed to operate app features, such as subscription status, trial start date, and device security settings;
- data processed by Apple when you use iCloud Sync, Face ID / Touch ID / Optic ID, and App Store purchases.
3. Where Data Is Stored
- On device: Finik's primary data is stored locally on your device using Apple technologies.
- In iCloud (optional): if you enable sync, your data is synced between your Apple devices through your personal iCloud / CloudKit account. We do not have direct access to that data.
- Purchases: if you buy Premium, Apple handles payment processing, renewals, and transaction history. We do not receive your full payment card details.
4. Biometric Protection
Finik may use Face ID, Touch ID, or Optic ID to unlock the app. Biometric data is never sent to us and is processed only by Apple through the LocalAuthentication framework.
5. AI Features
Finik's AI features run locally on device using Apple Foundation Models on supported devices and operating systems. In the current app version, we do not send your financial data to external AI services.
6. Export, Backups, and Deletion
- Export creates files on your device, and you decide where to save or share them.
- If you use iCloud Sync, your data may also remain in your personal iCloud account until you remove it from your devices and/or iCloud.
- Because Finik does not use user accounts on our own servers, data deletion is usually performed directly by you in the app, by clearing data, disabling sync, removing iCloud data, or deleting the app.
7. Sharing with Third Parties
We do not sell, share, or disclose your financial data to ad networks, data brokers, or third-party analytics providers.
When you use Apple platform services, some data may be processed by Apple as your platform provider, for example:
- iCloud / CloudKit for sync;
- StoreKit / the App Store for subscriptions and purchases;
- LocalAuthentication for biometric verification.
That processing is governed by Apple's own policies and terms.
8. Analytics and Tracking
Finik does not use third-party advertising SDKs, behavioral tracking systems, or external user analytics.
9. Children
Finik is not directed to children under 13 and is not designed for a child audience.
